In collaboration The Loaf Shack Bakery, Wildling Studio invites you to a nourishing and relaxing day of bread baking, ceramics and seasonal feasting.

Join us at Wildling Studio as we discover how to bake delicious artisan bread using traditional methods. The Loaf Shack’s workshop is perfect for those wanting to learn and gain more confidence in baking bread from home. You will learn how the bread process works from mixing, proving, shaping/moulding and baking conditions. These skills will be put into practice to make your own focaccia and a walnut and raisin loaf.

After gathering together to enjoy a nourishing, seasonal lunch prepared by Sarah of Wildling Studio (and bread provided by The Loaf Shack of course!), we will move into the pottery studio to create an array of dip bowls, complete with tray. This will be perfect for your pats of butter, oils and vinegars when serving your homemade bread to family and friends.

As is customary at Wildling Studio, we will pause for homemade cake and lashings of warming tea.

Meet your hosts

  • With over 12 years of experience creating and teaching ceramics, I have had the privilege of guiding many people on their creative journey with clay. Teaching pottery and other traditional craft skills allows me to combine my love of working with my hands with the joy of empowering others to explore their own artistic expressions. 

    My own ceramic work is inspired by the beauty found in living simply, in tandem with nature. I hand build my high fired ceramic homeware slowly and with great attention to detail, wanting to imbue those everyday rituals of preparing and eating food with joy. My work is characterised by organic shapes, the tactile nature of materials and beautiful glazes in soft tones. 

  • Hello! My name is Holly and I am a qualified baker, graduating with a First Class Honours in Bakery and Patisserie Technology.

    I believe artisan baking is the proper way to do it, each loaf given the time to be hand-crafted with love, creating something authentic every single time. 

    I started The Loaf Shack Bakery to carry on with my passion of baking naturally and using traditional methods to produce high-quality delicious artisan bakes.
