“He does it with his hands, by experience, first in play and then through work. The hands are the instruments of man’s intelligence.”

Join us here at Wildling Studio as we get ready for the changing season. In this pottery workshop exclusively for mini wildlings we will use stoneware clay to make a selection of springtime pieces - a 3D ceramic egg and a botanical imprint plate, perfect for any chocolatey Easter treats.

Sarah will gently guide you step by step through the hand building process and you’ll have a chance to play and get creative with your pieces.

Please note: During the workshop we will be using stoneware clay and decorating with coloured slips. Pieces will need to be left at the studio for glazing and firing and will be ready for collection approximately 2-3 weeks after the workshop.

Suitable for children aged 4+ Parents must stay and are encouraged to get involved!

There will be one Community Space Available for each workshop. This free space is offered to support the local community, please click here for more information.

Sarah is the resident studio potter here at Wildling Studio. She has over 12 years of teaching experience within public, private and charity sectors.

Sarah’s hand built, functional ceramics are made from high-fired flecked stoneware, ensuring her pieces are suitable for everyday use. She wants her work to be handled and used, so that everyday tasks are imbued with joy and pleasure. Sarah’s desire to make functional pieces results in ceramics that explore the balance between fragility and strength, with each bespoke piece exhibiting her signature soft colour pallet.
