Hygge
A feeling of cosiness and contentment evoked by being in the moment and enjoying simple pleasures.
Join resident ceramicist Sarah Glazier-Hart for a relaxed afternoon here at Wildling Studio. Learn to create a handbuilt mug and cake plate set, perfect for those cosy evenings by the fire.
Bring a friend along or come solo and meet some new friendly faces.
Sarah will guide you step by step through the creation of your very own ceramic pieces using traditional hand buildling techniques. Suitable for beginners as well as the more experienced makers, you will learn slab-building techniques, ideas for decoration and refined finishing.
During the afternoon we’ll enjoy delicious homemade cake and of course lashings of warming tea by the studio fire.
Please note: We will be using stoneware clay. Pieces will need to be left at the studio for glazing and firing and will be ready for collection approximately 2 weeks later.
There will be one Community Space Available. This free space is offered to support the local community, please click here for more information.

Sarah is the resident studio potter here at Wildling Studio. She has over 12 years of teaching experience within public, private and charity sectors.
Sarah’s hand built, functional ceramics are made from high-fired flecked stoneware, ensuring her pieces are suitable for everyday use. She wants her work to be handled and used, so that everyday tasks are imbued with joy and pleasure. Sarah’s desire to make functional pieces results in ceramics that explore the balance between fragility and strength, with each bespoke piece exhibiting her signature soft colour pallet.
