Botanical Imprint Plates Workshop

enjoy a relaxing morning of pottery and cake

Thursday 24th April, 10am - 12.30pm

“I must have flowers, always, always.”

– Monet

Join resident ceramicist Sarah Glazier-Hart for a relaxed morning here at Wildling Studio. After a walk to collect spring leaves and grasses, you will learn to create a hand-built set of 2 botanical imprint plates, permanently capturing the beauty of the season in clay. Your plates will be the perfect size for seasonal lunches or slices of cake.

Bring a friend along or come solo and meet some new friendly faces.

Sarah will guide you step by step through the creation of your very own ceramic pieces using traditional hand buildling techniques. Suitable for beginners as well as the more experienced makers,  you will learn slab-building techniques, ideas for decoration and refined finishing.

During the afternoon we’ll enjoy delicious homemade cake and of course lashings of tea!

Please note: We will be using stoneware clay. Pieces will need to be left at the studio for glazing and firing and will be ready for collection approximately 2 weeks later.

There will be one Community Space Available. This free space is offered to support the local community, please click here for more information.

Sarah’s hand built, functional ceramics are made from high-fired flecked stoneware, ensuring her pieces are suitable for everyday use.
